Easy Homemade Breadcrumbs

Easy Homemade Breadcrumbs

Do you read articles and think, I can do that, and you do it to ask yourself why didn't I think of this? I did just that with homemade breadcrumbs. But the only problem is, I can’t find the article from the blogger I follow so I can give her credit. I may have read it on another blog so until I find it, I can’t give anyone credit for me making my own homemade breadcrumbs. I normally don’t buy breadcrumbs unless I’m making cheese sticks. I use crushed saltine crackers in my meatloaf and in my salmon patties. When I read how easy it was to make bread crumbs without using up a good loaf of bread or allowing bread to sit out and stale to make them, I was like why didn’t I think of this on my own!

Southern Fried Cabbage Recipe

Southern Fried Cabbage Recipe

I’m a Southern girl raised on Southern food. While growing up I was made to eat foods I did not like except for tomatoes. They were the only thing I wasn’t forced to eat, maybe because it was not the main food item. Boiled cabbage was one of the cooked foods I had to mix with something to hide the horrible taste. Homemade Salsa Dry Seasoning Mix

Homemade Salsa Dry Seasoning Mix

If you’ve been a reader for any amount of time, then you know he doesn’t eat beef. After he told me about his sandwich, I knew I had to make these in my kitchen.

Homemade Deviled Ham Spread

Homemade Deviled Ham Spread

As kids, my siblings and I took our lunches to school. We had peanut butter and jelly many days and meat sandwiches ranging from bologna, tuna and egg salads, and my favorite, deviled ham. In the winter months, we had chicken noodle soup and spaghetti o’s. Of all the lunch boxes I had during the elementary years, there was one in particular I remember.

Easy Homemade Muscadine Syrup

Easy Homemade Muscadine Syrup

Last fall, we visited the state farmer’s market at the perfect time. It was Muscadine season and they were at the top of our list of items to buy. We love eating them but we enjoy them more throughout the year as jelly. While making the jelly, I knew I wanted to do something just a little different with some of the juice. While looking through my mom’s older edition Ball Bluebook, I came across blueberry syrup so I knew I wanted to make muscadine syrup with them.
