A Trip to the Mountains with Flat Stanley

A couple of weeks ago, I signed up to do a Flat Stanley project with some ladies on a forum, where I am a member. We got our first little traveling guy today in the mail. Since my husband is going to be working tomorrow and Saturday, we decided to try and do a quick trip today. So we  headed to the highest point (Brasstown Bald) in Georgia. Since this was a last minute decision, we were not able to go into the Visitor's Center. But we did get to go up to the top and look around. Unfortunately, we did not get to spend too much time, because it started to rain. So we hurried  back down the trail to get to our car.

On the trip up, we were able to stop off at the Babyland General Hospital, where they make the Original Cabbage Patch Kids. These are the all cloth soft babies, not the ugly vinyl or plastic head babies.

Since this project is based on American Geography, Monkey and I will be able to implement some of information that we receive from each little Flat Stanley that visits into our American History studies this year.

I'm looking forward to our next Flat Stanley to visit. I'll keep you posted when the next one arrives.

Here's a link to some pictures that I posted on Facebook.
