30 Bible Verses for When You Are Hurting

Life is not easy. There will be times when we hurt. Many of those times we will come under attack by Satan because we are at a weak moment. Hiding God’s words in our hearts is a perfect form of defense.

During the holiday season, a friend’s family received horrible news about their wife and mother. During the long eight weeks, there were meetings, surgeries, and decisions. As time moved on, nothing more could to be done.  They made decisions and final preparations while playing the waiting game.

Waiting is not an easy thing to do because Satan will use this vulnerable time to attack anyone and in any form. That is why it is so important to hide God’s words in our heart. When you are hurting, you can pull them out as a defense when the fiery darts fly.

The verses and/or passages I have listed either crept into my mind while I was praying for my sweet friend’s momma or someone quoted them at school. It’s an amazing thing being able to work in a Christian environment when you need an extra reminder of just how wonderful our Lord is.
