Take a Moment to Just Breathe

Breathe in. Breathe out. Stress and anxiety are the effects of living life. There are some who handle life a lot easier than others. Some of us can hide the stress and anxiety. While the others are so frazzled, everyone knows it. No matter who you are, take a moment to just breathe. Breathe in. Breathe out.

Breathe in. Breathe Out. Take a Moment to Breathe

Take a Moment to Just Breathe

With all the garbage going on in the world, everyone needs that moment to push themselves away from the table to breathe. Breathe a breath to clear your mind, your body, your soul.

A former co-worker told how a student asked why she took such deep breaths during the day. The 5 year old thought something was wrong. The teacher didn’t realize she was often sighing in her classroom. She mentioned to her doctor about the sighing and he told her it was a stress reliever. I tried it, after listening to her about sighing or taking a deep breath and how her stress level dropped in the classroom. She was on to something.

From that moment on, when my stress levels rise, I stop whatever I am doing. I take a moment to breathe. Sometimes, those breaths turn into more than just one or two, but believe it or not, my stress levels drop. My mind becomes clear and I can focus on the task at hand.

A moment to breathe reduces stress.

Instead of soaking in all the hate-filled words on social media and the news, turn it off. Fill your life with meaningful things. Focus on your family, that hobby you started. Read the book you’ve been wanting to read. Learn a new skill.

No matter what you do to help reduce the stress in your life, take a moment to just breathe.
