5 Gift Ideas for Christian Friends
- A Journaling Bible and supplies – journaling Bibles are very popular with some right now. Just be sure to get a single column Bible so there will be enough room for design. The supply list for Bible journaling is amazing – pens, pencils, markers, watercolors, stamps, and ink pads.
- Nativity scene – I have a friend who collects nativity scenes; her collection is amazing. What better gift could you give a friend at Christmas?
- Willow Tree Figurines – these are beautiful while yet not overly showy. I have The Angel of Learning that was given to me while teaching school; it has a special place on my table with my old books. A perfect gift!
- Calendar – calendars are the perfect gift idea. Everyone needs them and uses them whether at home or at work.
- Jewelry – I think jewelry is a fantastic gift idea. Whether you are looking for gold, sterling silver, or mixed metals. Your friend will be happy. (This is a friend’s company. I highly recommend her, she has made several pieces for me and I can’t say enough about them.)

** Bonus**
- Home Baked Goodies – I know what you’re thinking, but in reality any friend would love a container of goodies made by you. While the gift may only be temporary, it will be something they enjoy and won’t have to worry about dusting later on.
As I mentioned at the top, think about their interests and hobbies. Receiving knitting tools, yarn, or something to be used in the kitchen would thrill me. I’m sure your friend will be happy with what you give them.

Great ideas Lori! I especially like the calendar idea. So many of my favorite ministries are giving away 2016 calendars for a small donation so it's a win-win for all involved. I am also a big fan of Ebates... getting those checks are always a nice surprise: Thanks for sharing and may you and family have a wonderful holiday season! God bless
ReplyDeleteHorace, calendars are a big thing for me. We keep several throughout the house so we don't have to always run to the kitchen to check a date. There's one ministry we give to so we can get their calendars because we believe in what they are doing and the calendar is always very nice. Those Ebates checks are nice! I hope y'all have a wonderful Christmas season too.
ReplyDeleteGreat Ideas...A good Christian book will also go well, Lori.
ReplyDeleteI like the journal and calendar ideas too.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Hope your preparations for the holidays is going well?
God Bless, Lori
Ifeoma, I was going to use book as an idea but I decided against it because people's tastes in books are different. There's not much planning here with just the three of us, I haven't even put out any decorations again this year. I hope you have a blessed Lord's Day. Thanks for visiting, my friend.
