Philly Chicken Sandwich
Are you in a food rut? Then you’ll want to try the Philly Cheese Chicken Sandwich.
My husband ate out for lunch one day after starting back to work with his old employer. He told me the men went to a sandwich shop, and he had a Philly Cheese Chicken Sandwich while the rest had steak sandwiches. If you’ve been a reader for any amount of time, then you know he doesn’t eat beef. After he told me about his sandwich, I knew I had to make these in my kitchen. I used the same cheese steak sandwich method I cook my Cowboy Burgers.

Homemade Deviled Ham Spread
As kids, my siblings and I took our lunches to school. We had peanut butter and jelly many days and meat sandwiches ranging from bologna, tuna and egg salads, and my favorite, deviled ham. In the winter months, we had chicken noodle soup and spaghetti o’s.

Southern Venison Hash
The first time I ate Southern Venison Hash was at a Missions Conference in South Carolina. It was cooked in a way there was disbelief among a few that it was deer. It was so good I asked the pastor for the recipe; it’s discouraging when you hear the words “I don’t really have a recipe, it’s a little of this and a little of that”. I don’t know why I was saddened at the response because I tend to cook that way most of the time. If you are not a fan of venison or don’t have any on hand, you can substitute it with beef. A roast or stew meat would be perfect!

Cowboy Philly Cheese Steak Burgers
This is one of our all time family favorite recipes. Since we don’t eat beef, I make this with cubed venison. Can I tell you something? You can’t even tell the difference in the meats. Anytime I hear someone say they can’t stand the wild, game taste in venison, I tell them, whoever cooked what you ate, didn’t cook it right. While I am no expert in cooking venison, I have learned a few tricks over the years. SEASONING is the way to go!

Coleslaw Chicken Wraps
This is perfect for lunch or a light supper, dinner, whatever you call that evening meal in your home. It is quick and easy to make and if you have your chicken precooked and sliced, it is even quicker to make when you are in a hurry.
