I couldn’t help but think how things in life may change, our God doesn’t. We serve an Unchanging God.

We Serve An Unchanging God
It’s reassuring to know the same God that David and Daniel prayed to, I pray to Him also. The same God, who directed Noah, protected Jonah, prepared Moses, and guided Joseph. He is the same today as He was the day He hung the stars in the sky. (Psalms 102:25-27)
It’s a comfort to know the God I serve is the same God who promised Adam and Eve while in the Garden of Eden to send a sacrificial Lamb. He’s the same God who sent his Son to be born for a purpose – to die on the cross and to be raised from the dead for our sins. (Genesis 3:15)
I have hope in knowing the promise of peace and the return of Jesus that was given to his disciples, is the same Jesus I sing about when the words Jesus Loves Me passes across my tongue. (John 14:1-4)
While uncomfortable changes are made every day in our lives, there is ONE who does not change. I’m thankful I serve an unchanging God.
Time is filled with swift transition,
Naught of earth unmoved can stand,
Build your hopes on things eternal,
Hold to God’s unchanging hand.
Naught of earth unmoved can stand,
Build your hopes on things eternal,
Hold to God’s unchanging hand.
Lori, I couldn't agree more! It seems especially in the world we live in now, things change so quickly. I often feel overwhelmed and have whined to my husband, "I just don't want to learn anything new!" lol! I love learning, but the constant technological changes that effect our everyday lives is overload. I always admire the way my 85-year-old dad keeps up with most of it! It makes the fact that our God is never changing, even more so a comfort. I love this thought before I head off to sleep to night. Thank you, friend, for these sweet thoughts!
ReplyDeleteHi Lori, coincidentally, I had a conversation with someone 2 days back. I told him how we are in a constantly changing world and unfortunately we also try to change God's standard to please ourselves!
ReplyDeleteHe is forever and ever the same, never changing and always true.
God Bless, friend
I'm SO with you, Lori. I am not a fan of change, and I'm not good at it. Thank you for the fresh reminder that we serve an unchanging God! I cling to the truth that any change He affects in me or brings to my life is always for my good and His glory. Thank you for being such a gracious hostess!
ReplyDeleteI noticed today that you live in Montana! I'm from Maine, but we visited Montana several years ago on our way across country. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your hospitality here in this space!
I am praising God with you Lori, god never changes!!
ReplyDeleteAmen Lori! I am so thankful that the God I love never changes. In the world were change takes place every minute of every day, our God is faithful! What a blessing that I will never take for granted. Thank you for this reminder my friend. Have a wonderful weekend and try to stay warm up there in Montana!
ReplyDeleteHello, Lori. This is my first time linking up. Thank you for giving us this great opportunity. I love your pretty site. I enjoyed learning how you got your name for it, too.
ReplyDeleteWhat you said about the God that David and Daniel prayed to, I pray to Him also, IS so reassuring. I hadn't quite thought about it that way. Thank you.
I always love the images you make, they are so striking and captivating! Blessings!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Claudia. My husband is a photographer and does most of my images, he took this one years ago.
ReplyDeleteWelcome, Gleniece! Thank you for your kind compliment. It is amazing to think about Who we pray to and all He has done. Thanks for visiting and linking up.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Horace, we're doing our best at keeping warm. Thankfully the arctic air is not settling in for longer than a couple days. It gets rough after a week of -30 and -40 degrees.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lisa.
ReplyDeleteHi, Michele. I would love to be back in western Montana because of all views and opportunities, but every part of Montana has it's own beauty.
ReplyDeleteOh, Elizabeth, yes those changes are for our good and His glory.
ReplyDeleteIt is sad that we try and change God's plans, but thankfully He controls those changes.
ReplyDeleteOh, my goodness - technology, it is crazy! I am so thankful I don't have to worry about waking up and finding a change in God, I love his faithfulness.
ReplyDeleteI am so thankful that God never changes! He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.. love you Lori.
ReplyDeleteI'm thankful also, Momma. Love you!
