Day Book

Outside my window... another HOT day in the south. I'm thankful that it is not quite as hot as last week. We do have a "Quality Air Alert", meaning that it may not be safe for some to be outside, something that is all too common for these parts. The sun is shining in a perfectly clear blue sky today.

I am thinking... all that I have to do this week, being it the last full week at home.
I am thankful for... an answer to prayer.
From the kitchen... Honey Pecan Pork Chops, macaroni and cheese, rolls/biscuits
I am creating... I finished the khaki skirt and am finishing up my blue skirt, both for school.
I am reading... Sweetwater Run by Jan Watson, this is a spin off from the Troublesome Creek books.
I am praying... for the salvation of our President and his family.
Around the house... there's a lot to do this week. I do have one day that I have to be at the school, probably tomorrow. But the rest of the week, I'll be focused on making sure everything around here is in order.
A few plans for the rest of the week... hopefully, I will be able to get all the deep cleaning I need to do finished by Friday. Other than the one day at the school and church on Wednesday night, I don't have to be anywhere, so I'll be spending this week at home and enjoying that time!

  1. Lori- Are you preparing supper meals ahead, in preparation for your new job or are you home in time to prepare fresh each evening?
